    Cochin Bantams:

    Cochin bantams were first brought to England in the 1860's and were then referred to as Pekins. A very docile, gentle bird, Cochin chickens require little space, are excellent egg producers of many color varieties and are gorgeous to look at. They all have heavily feathered feet and legs and are considered excellent broody hens. Here are several of the most popular:

    Cochin Bantams- A pure soft white chicken with bright ready wattle and comb.     Feather footed Bantams- The most popular of the bantam varieties, chickens have heavy feathering all down the leg to the feet. Again a wide variety of flavors including the beautiful Mille Fleur, porcelain, sultan, white and black silkies, buff and blue silkies and light and dark brahma bantams.

    Clean Legged Bantams- Some of the most beautiful varieties are the clean legged bantams, including the small golden sebright, black rosecombs, silver duckwing, silver penciled rock bantams and the Japonese White Bantam here:
