I do not know how you are weathering the current housing meltdown and economic crisis, but I can tell you that I now joyfully practice frugal living. I never, ever want to be in a situation for the rest of my life where outside forces took away my family security.

I pay close attention to money saving techniques and ways to increase our family security, and I hope you will join me and tell me your frugal living stories as well.
After watching millions of people lose their homes and jobs across the Country, I now believe anything can happen to us and we very well may each be on our own for a wide variety of reasons.
The art of frugal living may be the one thing that feeds our families and sustains us in turbulent times.

As Americans in this dangerous world, we could soon be in serious trouble, and many of us are not yet keenly aware of what could happen to us if we suddenly find our liberty compromised, our food sources becoming scarce and our ability to heat our homes and remain employed are rapidly coming to an end.

All it would take is a war close to home or a terrorist attack in your area, and in a heartbeat the grocery stores and the fuel sources are gone. Period. Are you ready?

This site is dedicated to everyone who feels the pain and needs practical guidance and a friend along the way to a self sufficient lifestyle. One that cannot be taken away like your 401k.

At a time when good people are losing their jobs, their homes, their savings, their investments and their security, now more than ever we need to pull up the bootstraps, fully embrace self sufficiency, and make sure we are never vulnerable again to market forces, to spending that is not in our control, and to those who would steal from us.
Make no mistake, the vast majority of us have been negatively impacted by runaway reckless spending and consumption, both by our elected officals, our bankers and our own personal habit of collecting debt we cannot pay back in tough times.
Becoming debt free through frugal living is certainly possible and we will cheerfully address the steps to take you and your family there.
The reasons for all the collective misery are painful and deep, but you get enough of that in the news.
What I want to offer you is hope and control, which makes us happy, safe and satisfied, so let's embrace this as our time to show the world what we're made of!

Self Sufficiency

There are steps we can take to control our future by becoming self-sufficient, and the faster the better.

I am writing this website to give back to you and others like you, to help you in your new challenge to feed your families, obtain the professional services you may no longer be able to afford, and to teach and befriend you in the art of frugal living.
Our forefathers survived and later thrived, and we can too. We have no choice. Most people have been warned, but many are not paying attention and are the families most at risk.

I do not want that for my country, for it's communities, for the neighborhoods full of families and the children that will grow up in one devastating nightmare of poverty, unless we adults get smart and fast.

We must help each other in every possible way, and we will learn how true happiness comes from the comfort and practicality that comes from loving thy neighbor as yourself. Build community with your neighbors, befriend them, help them, and they will return the favors.

You will gain the strength that comes by knowing, down deep, that you are capable of taking care of yourself and your family under the most trying of circumstances.

Thomas Jefferson's historic words ring true now more than ever. His timeless wisdom has warned us against this free money printing mess that has led the American people to the cliff of financial ruin.
