Make homemade gift baskets! From Kids gift baskets to a Beer Gift Basket, assembly and the Supplies You'll Need for Homemade Gift Baskets.

If you have already decided on the theme for your gift basket, then you need to make sure you get all the supplies you are going to need. First of all, you are going to need a nice container. A basket definitely is a great idea, but just because they are called gift baskets doesn't mean that you have to choose a basket for a container.

Other creative containers are great too. For example, if you are creating a gift basket for a baby shower, a great container is a baby bath tub. Creating a basket for a child's birthday? Then a little wagon makes a great container that they can enjoy. Going with a container that can be used again is a great option.

After you have the container, you are going to need the items to fill the basket. Make sure you have enough quality items to fill the container that you have purchased. You will need some scissors, some clear plastic wrap, cellophane or netting to wrap the basket in, and some ribbon to tie up the basket as well. You may even want some type of gift tag so you can write a message on it.

Assembling Everything for Homemade Gift Baskets

Now you are actually ready to make your own gift basket. Assembly is usually pretty easy. Take the basket and start filling it up with the items that you have purchased. Arrange them nicely so they all look nice in the basket. You may need to get some packing supplies to put under the items to keep them from moving around a lot.

Once you have everything arranged, then you need to cover the entire basket with some plastic wrap, cellophane or netting. Colored shiny wrap is one choice that really looks great. Pull the plastic wrap over the top of the basket, then you can tie it all together with ribbon so that everything is safely inside. Then all you need to do is to present the basket. No doubt they will love it and it will be so special because you took the time to make it for them.
