Here is an easy salsa recipe to get dinner off to a bang!

Need something to zing up the kids breakfast burritos in the morning? I have found this to be the best salsa recipe that can be whipped up in minutes.

Don't even bother with store bought salsa. Once you have made a true Pico de Gallo you will never go back to your old ways. This recipe for salsa is something you can slather on an endless variety of dishes. Try this Corn Salsa recipe for variety.

How about making a taco spread with black beans, rice, guacamole, salsa and hard or soft shells so everyone can choose and make their own dinner?

That's easy! Or you can use salsa on eggs in the morning, or ladle over grilled fish or chicken at dinnertime.

You probably won't have leftover salsa, but if you make an extra large batch here is a great tip: Put it in the blender and let 'er rip. Freeze into ice cube trays, then place in a gallon zippy bag. This is instant flavor you can add when making just about anything that is tomato based.

Authentic Easy Salsa Recipe

3 Large Tomatoes, ripe and chopped

4 Scallions, sliced thin, use it all!

1/2 Cup Red Onion, chopped fine

2 Tablespoons Garlic, minced

Tip: Peeling and mincing garlic is time consuming. You can buy garlic minced in it's oil in the refrigerator section at a good price.

3 Jalapeno or Serrano Chili Peppers, seeded and chopped fine.

1/2 tsp. Sea Salt

Juice of 2 limes

1/4 Cup Cilantro, chopped

1 15 oz. can Black Beans, drain and rinsed

1/2 Celery Stalk, chopped fine

So how easy is it to make this recipe for salsa?

Directions:

Throw all ingredients together in a pretty bowl. Stir.

That's it! Now serve it up frequently and often so your family gets the nutritional benefit of this Lycopene rich dish. Enjoy!
