About us -Meet Diana, the lady behind this great informational site about eliminating debt by being an everyday cheapskate.

By the time I was in my teens, creative frugal living ideas kept following me around. I would make up games with myself about how to save money on everything from groceries, rent, gas and those all important fun times and trips with friends.

Fast forward to now, I have a growing family of seven following me around, so frugal living ideas come in very handy indeed.

We are in a small Oregon town living out almost all of the frugal living tips you will find in these pages.

We practice the art of self sufficiency because it has become part of our families value system, and because it is fun!

Far from a feeling like we are denied "things", or feeling deprived in any way, eliminating debt and being the happy everyday cheapskate gives our family a literal and figurative feeling of abundance and security.
